how to make a “nonstick” waffle maker nonstick again?
I’ve had a farberware basic waffle maker for many years now. It has black, nonstick removable plates which I almost always hand washed. One time I put them in the dishwasher and ever since they are no longer nonstick. The waffles stick to it like cement, ruining them. I’ve trying soaking them with oil and spraying with Pam before cooking to no avail. Has anyone experienced this? Are they just ruined now? Or maybe the dishwasher was a coincidence and they need a good deep cleaning? Any thoughts…
the coating doesn’t last, you are lucky they removable since that means you can replace them, you would have to sand blast the remaining coating to remove the remnants and roughen the surface and coated with the Teflon primer and the Teflon itself all of which is done in a factory,
