The bathroom light fixture over the sink just flicks on for half a second every time I flip the light switch.?
It’s a double switch, also controls the fan, that works. The only electrical outlet works too. It’s not the fixture, I tried a new one, same problem. SO WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON ???
If the light holds current (remains lit) after it blinks, and does not continue to blink intermediately, the problem is more than likely in your switch. It maybe a loose wire on the switch (WHICH MUST BE FIXED), but more than likely is a switch going bad. Replace the switch. If this is the ONLY switch that controls said light, pick up a new single pole (not three-way) switch at your hardware store. Cost: $2.
TEST: take your fist and beat on the wall around the switch and do the same around the light. The location that causes the light to blink, if any, is your dead-sure culprit.
