Making french toast need a temperature for cooking?
I trying again to make french toast. I have a griddle that I be using to make the french toast. Want would be the best temperature to cook them on. I try a skillet but it didn;t work. I am using a griddle instead. Thanks..
Ok I know how to make it with the eggs and thing. i did use oil yesterday but somehow it wanted to stick no matter want.. That why I am using a griddle Chicky..
Yep nice the griddle is the only way to go unless u have a grill like the restraunts use but many of us dont so heres what the temp. we cook our french toast at. We heat it to 350 degrees and wait a few minutes to let it get hot hot. Theres a trick I always use to let me know that the griddle is ready for cooking. You put on the faucet and scoop some water in your hands and flick it on the griddle and if the water bubbles and sizzles then you are good to go. It works on the fry pans too. 
Some griddles go up to like 400-450 degrees I say thats far to hot. You just want to wait a few minutes for the griddle to heat up. So just be patient and good things will come. Oh and dont forget the powdered sugar!
