Is it okay to put aluminum foil in a convection toaster oven?
I just bought a convection toaster oven and the book says not to put aluminum foil over the heating elements (duh) or over the crumb tray because it could cause the oven to overheat, Quite often when I cook, I put aluminum foil over the baking sheet to save on cleanup. Is this okay to do? I wonder because I just had to throw away my toaster oven (not convection) because the top heating element went out. However, it was also five years old and a cheap brand anyway. Does anyone know for sure? Thank you!
