Cuisinart Rice Cooker
Cup volume for Cuisinart Rice Cooker “calibrated cup”?

I lost the cup to my Cuisinart rice cooker (model CRC-400), and since it is not a standard measuring cup I have no idea what volume of rice to put in.
Can someone who has a Cuisinart rice cooker measure in normal “cups” or “tablespoons” the volume of that silly little special cup?

Thanks!

I found the manual for your cooker here: http://www.retrevo.com/s/Cuisinart-CRC-400-review-manual/id/890ci174/t/1-2/

Judging from the servings/rice-cooker-cups/water (in regular cups) ratios, I think the rice cooker cup is approx. 5 ounces.

I agree w/ your assessment “that silly little cup”. As you likely know, the rule-of-thumb, or starting-point, for cooking white rice is 2 parts water/broth to 1 part rice and brown rice is 2 1/4 to 1. You can tweak the ratio to your preference. Good Luck!
