Why electric (ceramic) induction hob doesn’t work with skillet (teflon)?
i have this KENWOOD induction hob for cooking, the manual says that it will only work with any pot or pan that have a smooth base measured between 12-22 cm and above. i tried to put a large skillet with smooth base on it but it didn’t turned on. as far, it only work with stainless steel pot. anybody know why?
Induction heating works by creating a magnetic field that actually heats the pot on the hob. My guess is that whatever your skillet is made from is not susceptible to induction. Your stainless pot is.
